We were waiting (hoping) for the contentious race in Florida’s 25th congressional district would liven up again, and it has.
Republican congressional candidate Carlos Curbelo, is pushing back at his rival, Democrat Congressman Joe Garcia’s recent remarks to the Spanish-language media outlet, Diario las Americas, where Garcia said that the elections fraud case involving Republican strategist Ana Sol Alliegro was “unfortunate and Sad.”Curbelo contends that Garcia’s sympathizing and well-wishing of “subjects under investigation or in the custom of law enforcement agencies for allegedly committing election fraud” remark was made because his campaign was, and could still be being investigated by the FBI.
As it was reported, Garcia’s friend and former chief of staff, Jeffrey Garcia (no relation), was being investigated by the FBI for his possible involvement in the 2010 congressional campaign of a “straw candidate.”
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Garcia was later investigated and subsequently arrested, jailed for his involvement in an absentee ballot fraud case.
Here is Curbelo’s campaign reaction to Garcia’s remarks:
“Joe Garcia’s expressions of sympathy and compassion for those in the custody of law enforcement are a farce. Joe Garcia doesn’t care about any of these individuals. He only cares about himself. He wants ‘the process to end’ because it is very likely that in 2010 Joe Garcia’s campaign recruited and illegally financed a ringer candidate. For years Joe Garcia has maintained a culture of corruption in his campaigns. He must be held accountable,” stated Nicole Rapanos, a spokesperson for the Curbelo campaign.Last year Garcia’s campaign admitted to having committed absentee ballot fraud despite his promises not to embarrass the community with more scandals.
