The most recent Mason-Dixon poll has former Governor Charlie Crist (D) and current Florida Governor Rick Scott locked in a tie, with both receiving 42% support.
The poll, which was released to The News Service of Florida, surveyed 700 likely voters, and has a 3.8 percentage point margin of error, and shows that 12 percent of Floridians are still undecided in the race. Rassmussen Reports also conducted a poll, which has Crist leading Scott by 6 points. While both men are leading one another in the parts of Florida they are expected to do well in, Crist leads Scott with African-Americans and Hispanics.
Scott will need to do better with Hispanics, if he expects to win. The appointment of Lt. Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera was made to help Scott shore up his Cuban-American base, as well give him a better shot at garnering more Hispanics votes.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
But before Crist faces Rick Scott in November’s general election, he has to first defeat state Senator Nan Rich in the Democratic gubernatorial primary race.
If Crist debates Rich, expect a lively exchange, as Rich is anxious to knock-down Crist as being an opportunistic and flip-flopping charlatan, who does not truly represent the Democrat Party and it’s values.
