The Palm Beach Post has reported that Congressman Patrick Murphy’s chief of staff, has received $91,500 in consulting fees during 2013. Kudos to Johnson for being able to rake in the dinero.
As Hillary Clinton would say,” What difference does it make” that Johnson was able to make some side cash?It seems perfectly legal for Johnson to benefit from his position as Murphy’s chief, as he and many others, including Republicans, have been able to exploit this key position in the past.
Republicans should worry more about how they are going to defeat Johnson’s boss, Patrick Murphy, than how much money his top aide makes.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
This year Republicans stand to gain more seats in the House of Representatives, Murphy’s barely-Republican-leaning seat may not be one of those seats.
Thus far, none of the current Republicans congressional candidates looking to pick up where former Congressman Allen West left off, and are vying to unseat Murphy, have made a viable case for their candidacy.
Meanwhile, Murphy has been able to cruise under the radar with a safe and “moderate” legislative record, as well as being able raise big re-election money.Former Florida state Representative Carl Domino seems to be the frontrunner, simply because he can self-fund his campaign with the millions he has in the bank, while former Connecticut native, Alan Schlesinger, is considered to be the grassroots candidate in the race.
Ellen Andel, who was endorsed by her friend Allen West, has dropped out of the race, while Calvin Turnquest has sunk his campaign’s chances by hiring a little-known and amateur campaign manager, Jacob Perry, who has ties to Allen West-hating liberal Democrats.
Right now, Murphy is a shoe-in to win re-election.
