Former Congressman Allen West, who is currently on his much anticipated “Guardian of the Republic” book media tour, took some time to sit down with the Shark Tank in Boynton Beach,Florida.
West started off by saying that he began writing the book last February, at the insistence of FOX News’ Dana Perino, who at the time worked for West’s book publisher, Crown Forum.
Even though he had never thought about writing a book before, West said it came easy to him because he just had to tell his story, and give his thoughts and perspective on issues.
When I asked him about how his book related to everyday Americans, West said that with his book, he wanted to “challenge” the readers to understand that this country really stands for, “it’s principles and its values, as it relates to policy, and the issues that we are facing.”

Then when I brought up the fact that liberals are bringing up his 2004 military incident, in which he rightfully discharged his weapon to scare a known terrorist in Iraq to give up ambush positions that eventually proved to have saved American Lives, West came out swinging.
