Embattle Republican congressional candidate Peter Vivaldi has put some distance between himself and the rest of the Republican Congressional Caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as millions of Americans, when he echoed what President Obama, Rep. Alan Grayson, and many other liberal Democrats have been saying- the NSA and IRS scandals that have plagued the Obama administration, are not scandals.
Appearing on the Carl Jackson radio show, Vivaldi made the following remark:“We focus so much on the NSA, and those are major issues in Washington; we focus a lot on the IRS -who does not want to get rid of the IRS? We can focus on all those things, but again, smoke and mirrors when we’re talking about what’s happening locally.”-Peter Vivaldi
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Here is what President Obama told MSNBC’s Chris Matthews about how he felt about the IRS scandal:
Vivaldi, who continues trying to find traction for his fledgling, almost non-existent campaign against Navy veteran and fellow Republican, Jorge Bonilla, has been struggling with the news that broke about him lying on an application to be appointed to a vacant seat on the Orange County Commission back in 2011.I’ll point out that there are some so-called progressives and, you know, perceived to be liberal commentators who during that week were just as outraged at the possibility that these folks, you know, had — had been, you know, at the direction of — the Democratic Party, in some way — discriminated against-President Barack Obama
In answering the question, as to whether he was ever arrested by law enforcement, Vivaldi answered “No.”
Back in 1989, Vivaldi was arrested for purposely writing bad checks, a felony in the state of Florida.
Oops.
