It’s finally over. After millions of dollars were spent by both the Republican and Democrat Parties, not to mention the outside groups and PAC’s, Republican David Jolly has won the special election in Florida’s 13th congressional district by just a few percentage points.
During his acceptance speech in front of a couple hundred supporters, Jolly thanked his “loving God” for the win, and added that the success of the campaign was a “team effort from the very beginning.”Jolly congratulated his opponents, Libertarian Lucas Overby and Democrat Alex Sink for their best efforts to represent the constituents in this congressional district, adding that he was humbled to have been elected to Congress, which he believes to be a “community service job.”
We must never sacrifice our Creator’s sacred gift of liberty to us at the altar of Big Government. We must never compromise our constitutional principles, and our constitutional rights to the whims of politics.
