Democrat Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has put out a fundraising email stating that in all her “years in Congress” she has “never been attacked this early.”
Wasserman Schultz is referring to being attacked by her Republican congressional opponents in the 2014 election cycle, as well as by outside groups targeting her ultra-liberal views and divisive rhetoric. In her fundraising email below, Wasserman Schultz blames the Koch brothers for the attacks, and acknowledges that she is “outspoken,” as well as saying that she will continue to “attack their radical agenda.”
Back in the 2012 election cycle, Wasserman Schultz’s Republican opponent in the general election, Karen Harrington, launched her second congressional campaign in 2011 with relentless criticism of her “radical” agenda, which included the not-so-popular and failing Obamacare healthcare law.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
The overwhelming majority of Americans disapprove of the ‘DWS’ supported Obamacare, which even President Obama himself considered scrapping.
The truth is, ‘DWS’ has in the past been attacked earlier than what she is now claiming.
Here is the email:They have set a new record: in all my years in Congress, I’ve never been attacked this early.
I’m not sure why the robocalls and the TV ads came so early. Maybe because I always put Florida first. Maybe because they know that I stand up for middle class families. Maybe they know that I will not back down.
But I’ve got something outside groups like those backed by the Koch brothers don’t have: you.
There’s an incredibly important deadline at the end of March — the end of the first FEC fundraising quarter of the year.
Friend, if we are going to keep building our strength, we need to raise $52,000 before the FEC deadline on March 31st. Can you contribute $5 or more to ensure we reach our goal?We must be prepared. My opponents have started early and I’m confident that this is just the beginning. We know that national Republicans will do anything to defeat Democrats like me. I’m outspoken. I will continue to attack their radical agenda. And, I always put families in South Florida first.
There are three opponents working to run against me. But that’s ok — because there are thousands of you fighting by my side.
The FEC deadline will be here in the blink of an eye, and it’s essential we hit our $52,000 goal. Give $5 right now to help us stay strong.
Thank you for your help.
Debbie
