After Congressman Trey Radel (R-FL) was busted for buying cocaine from an undercover federal agent back in 2013, which led to his recent resignation from Congress, voters have been calling for mandatory drug testing to be conducted on elected officials, welfare recipients, and anyone that receives government assistance.
When you think of all the crap like Obamacare that members of Congress vote into law on a regular basis, the case for mandatory drug testing on these elected officials is very easily made.The four Republicans running for Congressin the special GOP primary election to replace Congressman Trey Radel – Curt Clawson, Lizbeth Benacquisto, Paige Kreegel, and Michael Dreikorn- have all gone on record of favoring drug testing for welfare recipients, members of Congress, White House staffers, and the President himself.
That’s right. The call has been made for President Obama, future Presidents, as well as current and soon-to-be congressmen and women to be drug tested.
