Florida Governor Rick Scott and Lt.Gov Carlos Lopez-Cantera attended Victor Bean’s Southern Classic Gun & Knife Show in Miami, Florida, surprising many gun aficionados and supporters, who the seized the rare opportunity of taking a photo with the governor.
Flanked by gun rights guru Bill Bunting, Governor Scott, who himself owns a firearm or two, reaffirmed his support for the 2nd Amendment and his commitment to defend the right to bear arms, only days after his Democrat Charlie Crist reiterated his 2012 assault weapons ban flip-flop.Crist said that he supported the 2nd Amendment, adding that it needed to be enforce, but then stuck to his 2012 “new-found views on gun control,” where he advocated for smaller magazines and extended background checks.
While on his ongoing book tour in Fort Myers, Florida, Crist was confronted by a concerned citizen, who peppered him with questions, including his position on gun rights.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
When asked about his support for an assault weapons ban, Crist “politely” refused to address the citizen’s question.
When asked about Crist’s evolving position on gun rights, Scott refrained from attacking, Lopez-Cantera, not so much. Lopez-Canter, or “CLC,” stated, “Charlie is just a serial flip-flopper.”“I think we need to enforce the 2nd Amendment. I support it,” Crist said. But he said he supports more background check and smaller magazines. When it comes to an assault weapons ban, Crist looks annoyed and politely shuts down the questions.-Tampa Bay Times
