Attorney General Eric Holder appeared in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, where he was asked to update and give an overall assessment to the committee, as to what the Department of Justice was up to.
Regarding to overall racial profiling guidelines, Holder stated that his office was in the “final stages of racial profiling proposals,” and that announcement of these proposals was “forthcoming.”Republican Senator Sessions grilled Holder on the President’s recent marijuana statement, where he said that he believed that marijuana was not as dangerous as alcohol, even though this own Drug Czar disagreed has said that it was.
Sessions then dropped Lady Gaga into the discussion, saying that the pop star had said that she was addicted to marijuana.

Holder agreed that the use of any drug is potentially harmful, and confirmed that President Obama did not consult him before he made the marijuana statement.
