The Democrat Party, led by DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, was on a tour of sorts, following around the elusive Governor Chris Christie, as he headlines several private South Florida fundraising events for Florida Governor Rick Scott. The Fort Lauderdale event held at adjacent to the Tri-Rail station, drew quite a bit of press on a Saturday afternoon. Look, most of us had nothing else going on, so we appreciate the Democrat poobahs putting on this event.
Former Mayor of Broward County and close friend to Wasserman Schultz, Kristin Jacobs, took to the podium to add her two cents of Scott-bashing, immediately after Broward’s top Democrat, Mitch Ceasar opened the press conference. Jacobs blamed Florida’s Rick Scott’s policies for “massive manatees dying off.”“When you look at Gov Scott’s policy on the environment, we see dumping into our rivers, we see massive manatees dying off…”–Kristin Jacobs
The theme of the day was to pounce on “bully” Christie, and tie his bridgegate scandal to Rick Scott. As Wasserman Schultz said, “birds of a feather flock together.”
