President Barack Obama held his end-of-year with the White House Press Corps, where he espoused the recent uptick in the U.S. economy, Obamacare, Iran, and used the occasion to express that 2014 needed to be “a year of action.”No sooner that the started his press conference, Obama renamed the current “Holiday season,” as the “Season of Hope.”
Obama said that this summer. the economy grew at its strongest pace in two years, and that for the first time in twenty years, the U.S. as surpassed all oil production levels.

As expected, the President ran cover for the failing law, stating that since the beginning of December, 500K Americans have enrolled in Obamacare, and since October 1st (when Obamacare first rolled out) more than one million Americans have chosen healthcare plans through state and federal exchanges.
Obama said it was a “good thing,” adding that millions of Americans are poised to get quality and affordable healthcare.”
A couple of million people are going to have health insurance, maybe more, that is a big deal-Barack Obama
President Obama just conceded that the expectation that all Americans will be able to afford healthcare coverage through Obamacare, has been lowered to a “couple of million people.”
Obama also said that he will now be focused on immigration reform, and as far as the Iran situation, he believes that the U.S. needs to have a “clear-eyed principle diplomacy” approach at foreign policy.
Government Shutdown
Obama stated that he hoped “people have learned their lessons about brinksmanship” in regards to the recent government shutdown, as he reflected on what else he could have done about ending the recent government shutdown.I’ve got to assume people are not that crazy enough to start that thing all over again—Barack Obama
