Maybe someone else in Governor Rick Scott’s office, who is not named Adam Hollingsworth, needs to pay attention, as to who should be considered for the Lieutenant Governor position?Of the four potential Lt.Governor finalists Scott’s office announced, two have already asked to be “eliminated from consideration.”
Back in during the 2008 gubernatorial race, Scott and his campaign were praised for their inclusion of minorities in the election process when they chose Jennifer Carroll to be his Lieutenant Governor.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Now Scott, under new advisement, seems top be considering a more “milky’ and “less colorful” choice to be his second-in-command.
Several potential minority candidates come to mind, like State Representatives Jeanette Nunez and Mike Hill, as well as State Senators Anitere Flores and Miguel De La Portilla, but the one name that keeps getting mentioned as a perfect fit for the open position, is that of former House Majority Leader and current Miami-Dade Property Appraiser, Carlos Lopez-Cantera.
Considering that the Hispanic-heavy I-4 corridor is expected to play a definitive roll in future state and federal elections, it will be interesting to see if Scott, his COS Adam Hollingsworth, and other advisors decide to tap another minority as Lieutenant Governor.
What do you think? Take the poll and share.
