President Obama held a press conference to address the flawed Obamacare roll out, and to update the progress being made of fixing the healthcare.gov website.Obama opened his remarks by saying that the “roll out has been rough so far,” adding that “we (Obama administration) fumbled the roll out.”
After citing the recent dismal enrollment and sign up numbers that have been reported over the past couple of days, Obama said that he would be traveling to Ohio to meet with Republican Governor John Kasich, in efforts to promote the supposed revamped Obamacare website, and the importance of the healthcare law itself.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Obama then reiterated his concerns, and again took responsibility for the false assurances he gave to Americans, when he told them they could keep their existing health insurance plans.
I get how upsetting his is for Americans. I hear you loud and clear-President Barack Obama
As expected, the President unveiled some changes in the healthcare roll out.
People who have plans that predate the affordable care act can keep those plans, if they haven’t changed. That was already in the law.
Today we are going to extend that principle both to people whose plan have changed since the law took effect, and to people who bought plans since the law took effect.-President Barack Obama
Obama affirmed that ” the Affordable Healthcare Act is going to work for the American people,” as he continued to push Americans with existing health insurance plans to visit the flawed site anyways, “even if the website is not working, to go to it anyways and “compare plans.”
While Obama says he is willing to work with both Democrats and Republicans to fix the current Obamacare implementation problems, but there is little doubt that he will not entertain any changes to the law that hint of repealing his law.Senator Ted Cruz (R) has recently announced that he will be introducing repeal legislation in the U.S. Senate
