Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly just said that Senator Marco Rubio is part of the ‘moderate’ wing of the Republican Party. O’Reilly stated this on the “The Factor,” clumping Rubio together with the likes of John McCain, Paul Ryan, and pitting them against the Tea Party conservatives of the GOP, like Sarah Palin.Rubio is a conservative, this we know, but what probably led O’Reilly to come to the conclusion that he was a moderate was probably his position on immigration reform.
The junior Senator from Florida, bucked conservatives by siding with McCain and other squishy Republicans by cosponsoring the Senate’s flawed ‘Gang of Eight’ immigration reform bill.
