By JAVIER MANJARRESThe bitter Republican Senator, who coined the term “Whacko Birds,” to describe conservative Republican Senators, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Rand Paul, took to the Fox News airwaves and continued blaming the government shutdown on Ted Cruz and his squadron of “Whacko Birds,” saying that they were on a “fools errand” and that the shutdown would not succeed.
McCain said that he was the true champion of repealing Obamacare in 2012, when he repeatedly said that he “campaigned all over this country” for Mitt Romney, pleading with Americans to vote for Romney, if they wanted to get rid of Obamacare.
And then the hot-tempered senior Senator from Arizona dismissed Ted Cruz as a credible Republican Senatorial representative.
Fox News host Martha McCallum told McCain, after he acknowledged that he was mostly directing his frustration against Cruz, that Cruz and other Senators were going to visit with the President, and asked him what he thought about Cruz representing him and the rest of the Republican Senators.

First of all, Martha please (being smug), he is not representing us there. The Republicans Senators are going over there to meet with the President.-Sen. John McCain
