Florida Democratic Congressman Alan Grayson, continues to “vilify” Republicans with impunity with his recent comments that the GOP was comprised of nothing more than a bunch of “corporate shills, religious fanatics, and freedom fiends.”
Grayson made the comment on the Bill Maher show, and then agreed with Maher’s statement that, basically, Republicans were mere “Jesus freaks, gun nuts, and generic obese suburbanites.”
Republican Jorge Bonilla, who is running for the U.S. Congress against Grayson, took issue with both remarks made by “the hateful misogynist’ Bill Maher” and Alan Grayson, saying that Grayson was “disconnected” with America, and reminded him that “past generations” of “those so called “freedom fiends,” had fought and died defending the freedoms that allow the “Congressman with guts” to speak his mind.
Bonilla made the following statement on his campaign website.
Once again, Congressman Alan Grayson shows us just how far removed and disconnected he is from constituents who reside in Florida’s 9th congressional district, and throughout the rest of the country.
Unable to “scare” any Republicans into voting for his cartoonish proposed fix to the shutdown and debt ceiling crises, Mr Grayson jets off to Hollywood and pals around with hateful misogynist Bill Maher.
During this past Friday’s “Real Time With Bill Maher” cable television program, Mr. Grayson smeared his opposition as “corporate shills, religious fanatics, and freedom fiends”, and giggled like a schoolgirl while agreeing with Maher that the Republican Party consisted of “Jesus freaks, gun nuts, generic obese suburbanites, and let me add the super rich.”
I will remind Mr. Grayson that this country was built and defended by past generations of those very “freedom fiends” he and Maher so gutlessly vilify. There remains an open debate invitation, should the “Congressman With Guts” require any further clarification-Jorge Bonilla
