During the House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing about the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Egypt, the self-proclaimed “Congressman with Guts,” Representative Alan Grayson (D), questioned the State Department’s undersecretary of management Kennedy about what the State department knew in regards to the Benghazi consulate attack that left four Americans dead, including the U.S. ambassador to Egypt.Grayson started off by stating that the attack in Benghazi was “the scandal that never was.” As expected, Grayson’s line of questioning was direct, on point, and in-line with the Democratic Party and Obama administration narrative that the attack in Benghazi was not a scandal.
Republicans in the Congress, led by Representative Darrel Issa, have been pushing for full disclosure and transparency about the administration’s admitted consulate security failures, and all the events leading up to the attack on the consulate.

This supposed “scandal that never was,” started off with the Obama administration casting blame on a movie trailer for causing the attack, which was later proven to be wrong, but not after the movie maker was imprisoned by the U.S. Justice department.
The jailed movie maker, who is under a supervised release from prison and living in halfway house in Southern California, spoke to CNN about his ordeal, and stated that the Obama administration was “irresponsible” for blaming his movie.
Asked how he felt when the administration tied his film to the attack by armed militants that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans, Nakoula said he was shocked.“Because, you know, I never thought, my movie can cause anyone trouble or anyone can get killed from my movie,” he said.
Asked if he thought the administration put him in danger, Nakoula declined to comment. But he said the government is “hiding” him.-CNN
Questions still remain as to why surviving witnesses to the attack have been muzzled from speaking to Congress or the press, further fueling the scandal behind the Benghazi attack.
