Congressman Alan Grayson has been all over  the news, rightfully pushing back against the President’s call to bomb Syria, and the ongoing NSA domestic surveillance scandal that has gripped the country over the past  several months.

But one issue the Grayson is not receiving bipartisan support for, is his unequivocal support for the “disastrous” Obamacare law. Many member of Congress, including Democrats are now opposing the law, and even  the Teamster and the AFL-CIO who have fueled Mr. Grayson’s congressional campaigns, believe it is a job-killing law.

Obamcare is set to be fully implemented in  2014, and Grayson’s opponent in the 2014 general election, former Marco Rubio Senatorial staffer Jorge Bonilla, has requested (5) debates with Grayson. In a letter to Grayson, Bonilla asks that an Obamcare debate take place before the end of the year, citing that there are several “Constituent Work Weeks”  in which Grayson would be in the district, and available to debate.

Here is an excerpt of a fundraising letter Bonilla’s campaign sent out to supporters:

My opponent, Congressman Alan Grayson, is the leading proponent of this un-American healthcare law, and will be co-sponsoring a bill to keep small business from trying to circumvent the mandates this law requires.

Because Mr. Grayson wholeheartedly supports this ‘un-affordable healthcare law,” as well as the President’s entire anti-business, big government agenda, I am challenging him to no less than (5) town hall-style issue-specific debates, the first one being on Obamacare.-Jorge Bonilla

Mr. Grayson,

You have been one of the most outspoken supporters of President Obama’s Affordable Healthcare Act, or Obamacare. Because this law is set to be fully implemented in 2014, I believe it is important that your constituents have an opportunity to hear from you about the healthcare law mandates they will be forced to adhere to.

Because I believe in full transparency and accountability, not to mention that the constituents of Florida’s 9th Congressional District deserve to know the truth about this disastrous law you are selling to them, I challenge you to a town hall-style debate to discuss the Obamacare law before the end of the 2013 calendar year.

There are several “Constituent Work Weeks” in the coming months in which you will be available to join me in debating the merits of the Obamacare law. In looking over the current Congressional calender, the third week of October, and the second week of November look pretty open for you.

In addition, I am also requesting four other issue-related town hall-style debates, bringing the total number of debates requested of you to five.

Considering that you have not run from a challenge posed by any of  your past congressional campaign opponents, I look forward to debating you on Obamcare and the other pressing issues that are concerning to Americans.

Grayson’s campaign spokesman, Todd Jurkowski, responded to our request for comment and stated that “Congressman Grayson will consider the proposal if Mr. Bonilla wins the Republican primary.”

Bonilla, who has received the support of Congressmens Pete Sessions (R-TX) and Bill Posey (R-FL), is currently in a 3-way with Carol Platt, who has not yet  announced her candidacy, and is expected to self-fund her campaign. Bonilla is also facing Peter Vivaldi, an unemployed ‘consultant’ whose campaign has withering, after word that his past Felony arrest for Bad Check Writing, not to mention his current 2013 home foreclosure, and the rest of his “rap sheet,” will get out and damage any chance he thinks he may have to win the primary election.

Grayson will destroy anyone with a rap sheet, remember what he did to Todd Long in 2012. Whether or not you like the dirty political tricks or not, they are fair game, and Grayson is a master of them.
