Syria’s tyrannical President Bashar Assad openly threatened President Barack Obama with “repercussions,” if he orders a U.S. Military to strike Syria.
Assad told CBS news that American should expect “every action,” suggesting that any retaliation against the U.S. ” could come from the opposition, as well as his own government and its allies.”
“You should expect everything,” Assad said. Asked to elaborate, he added: “You should expect everything. Not necessarily from the government. … You have different parties, you have different factions, you have different ideology.” -AP
Assad and his government deny the use of chemical weapons, stating that his soldiers were not in the area, but Secretary of State John Kerry and President Obama, without divulging any proof, have stated that Assad has used chemical weapons against the Syria people, which then prompted Assad to refer to these allegations as a “Big lie.”
“We know that his regime gave orders to prepare for a chemical attack. We know they deployed forces.” Secretary of State John Kerry
The U.S. Congress is split on supporting military action against Syria, leaving some political pundits and politicos to believe that Obama will strike, regardless of whether or not he receives the full support of the Congress.
