By JAVIER MANJARRESOne of the most vocal opponents of Florida’s ‘Stand Your Ground’ law is Democratic Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, who just this past weekend, attended the National Action Network’s Miami rally to pressure the Department of Justice to file civil rights charges against the George Zimmerman.
During her highly racially divisive speech, Wilson referred to stand-your-ground laws as being racist against blacks, and has announced that she will introduce legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives to repeal all Stand-your-ground laws across the nation.
America, little black boys and big boys, and black grown men, will continue to be singled out and arrested for driving while black, shopping while black, walking while black, eating while black, and just being plain ol’ black! -Rep. Frederica Wilson (D) (Must see video)
But hold the presses! Wilson may have forgotten that she was one of 39 Florida State Senators who unanimously voted in favor of Florida’s Stand Your Ground Senate bill signed into law by former Florida Governor Jeb Bush?
The year was 2005, and then State Senator Frederica Wilson did not waiver when she voted ‘Yes’ on Senate Bill 436, the very same bill she now opposes. Is Frederica Wilson a flip-flopping hypocrite? Share and “Like” the story below, and leave a comment
