Florida Governor Rick Scott is cutting taxes again, this time reauthorizing the popular school sales tax holiday. According to the AP, Scott “signed into law a bill reauthorizing the states “popular back-to-school sales tax holiday” which now includes new computers.
The 6% tax reprieve for shoppers, which will take place Aug2-4, is for the purchase of clothing worth $75 or less, and for school supplies, like pencils, paper, etc., that are worth $15 or less.

The new computer tax relief component of the law applies to new computers, including laptops, ipads, and other electronics “readers,” as long as they cost $750 or less.
After he picks a new Lieutenant Governor, which should come in the very near future, expect Governor Scott to ramp up his 2014 re-election campaign over the summer.
