The Jewish National Fund has called on President Obama to “recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.” The organization was founded in 1901 to buy and develop Palestinian territories for Jewish settlement. As of 2007, the JNF owned 13% of “the total land in Israel.”

“Since its inception, the JNF has planted over 240 million trees in Israel. It has also built 180 dams and reservoirs, developed 250,000 acres (1,000 km²) of land and established more than 1,000 parks.”-Wik

Jerusalem is the lifeblood of the Jewish people and the heart and soul of our nation. This Jerusalem Day is the perfect time to show Israel our support and send a message to the world that the United States is, and will continue to be, the greatest ally that Israel has in this world.
