Apparently all Republican politicians and elected officials are out vilifying school teachers, this according to Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. In another one of her postings at Democrats.org, the Florida Congresswoman, who was acknowledging Teacher Appreciation Week, said the following-
Sadly, rather than reward these devoted professionals, Republican politicians continue to vilify our teachers. They use them as scapegoats for tough budgetary challenges and claim that they are part of the problem with our education system.
Wasserman Schultz must have forgotten about the fact that Florida Governor Rick Scott proposed $480 million in bonuses to Florida teachers, payable in 2014. The Republican-led , but the bonus will be tied to he state’s merit pay law.
