Senator Marco Rubio, who is facing a protest from the Tea Party today, has issued a signed statement acknowledging their concerns, and to correct any misinformation that has deseminated over his position on immigration reform.

Rubio says that he is against a rush to push an immigration reform bill through the Congress, and states that his goal is   to influence immigration reform legislation that  keeps to the Tea Party’s less government principles. A second goal that Rubio outlines is that he will not support an immigration reform bill that will make the things worse, or that does not ensure a secure border.
