During the Q & A portion of the town hall, Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz addressed the issue of replacing the Medicare number with random identity numbers, instead of continuing to use Social Security numbers.
I think they calculated that it would cost about $250 million to make the switch over to random identity numbers, and we’re gonna keep plugging away to try to pass that legislation, especially with the sequester and our coming out of the, come out of the economic crisis we just faced, finding a spare $250 million is a little tough these days.-Rep.
