Here is what Bondi had to say today about the investigation-
The defendant is charged with one count of second-degree Medicaid fraud, one count of first-degree racketeering, and one count of second-degree identify theft. My Office of Statewide Prosecution will prosecute the case.
Defrauding the Medicaid program and using those ill-gotten funds to support a lavish lifestyle is deplorable. I am proud of our Medicaid Fraud Control Unit for their successful partnership with the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to protect Florida’s Medicaid program and seize the defendant’s illegal assets.-AG Pam Bondi
