Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, who has led the charge against Obamacare, is emphasizing that she will moving forward with the prosecution of Janie Vittini, who owns Improving Together, Inc., for the alleged $3 million in Medicaid fraud, racketeering, and identity theft charges Vittini is charged with. Vittini is said to have billed the Medicaid program for more than $3 million in services she never provided, using the funds to buy “luxury vehicles”, trips, among other luxury items.
Here is what Bondi had to say today about the investigation-
According to the investigation, between 2012 and 2013, Vittini billed Medicaid more than $3 million for services provided to Medicaid recipients with mental health needs, which were never rendered. Additionally, it is alleged that Vittini obtained Medicaid recipient numbers by enticing Medicaid recipients to complete applications for services in exchange for gift cards.
