According to the park service, the 2742 square mile Rock Creek Park has more than 70 deer per square mile, and that their ‘target’ plan is to lean that number down to 20 per square mile. In doing some math, the park currently has 191,940 deer. If you subtract the amount with the number per square mile that the park service is ‘shooting’ for (54,840), the end result is the removal of 136,800 White Tailed deer.
Oops! We meant to say 2.742 square miles, not 2742 square miles..ahahhaha
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Park officials are saying that this ‘hunt’ is needed to protect the “diverse communities of plants and animals that live here.” Wait, don’t the deer live in the park too, and aren’t they animals?
I wonder if the Park Service is using taxpayer dollars to pay for these ‘sharpshooters’, and what they plan on doing with all that deer meat, once the they have finished off Bambi & Friends?“This decision will allow us to start restoring native vegetation, protecting the diverse communities of plants and animals that live here, and preserving the natural and cultural resources in Rock Creek Park for this and future generations.”-National Park Service
