As the Obama administration’s foreign policy drifts aimlessly without a sense of purpose while the administration itself continues to disengage from a leadership role on the world stage, North Korea has once again decided to make waves and issue fresh threats towards the United States- North Korea has historically preferred to make these bellicose proclamations at the most politically opportune times for maximum effect.North Korean Military’s chief delegate, Pak Rim-su called Gen. With newly minted Secretary of State John Kerry far more concerned with the threat of Global Warming rather than keeping genocidal regimes and hermit kingdoms in check, it will be interesting to see how much further these regimes continue to tweak the United States as the Obama administration continues to “lead from behind” and project weakness.
As Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov gave Kerry the brush-off last week because of the United States’ increasing irrelevancy in global hotspots, regimes like North Korea are noticing, and they’re very likely to treat the Obama administration with increasing scorn and contempt for adopting such a posture.
