Immigration and Customers Enforcement (ICE) union president Chris Cane represents some 7,000 agents, and he told freshman Republican Congressman Ron DeSantis at a House Judiciary Committee meeting that he and his following have ‘zero’ confidence that President Obama will follow through with his immigration enforcement promises. Did anyone have any doubt whatsoever that the President go back on this promise? Obama would never go back on a promise, right? (/sarcasm)
At a hearing before the House Judiciary Committee today, Crane said that his confidence was “zero” that the Obama Administration would follow through on any promises of future immigration enforcement. Crane also pointed out that his agents’ union has been forced to file a lawsuit against ICE Director John Morton simply to be allowed to continue enforcing existing laws.
