Israel seems to be moving closer to a Middle East showdown with Iran, as it has just engaged Iran’s proxy, Syria, with military force for the second day in a row. Israel’s IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) ‘neutralized’ Syrian targets in Syria after mortars were fired from Syria in the direction of Israel.
The Israeli military says it scored “direct hits” on targets in Syria after responding to stray mortar fire from its northern neighbor.
The military says that Israeli tanks opened fire on targets in Syria on Monday after the mortar round landed in an open area in the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights.

Israeli military officials say “Syrian mobile artillery” was hit. The officials, speaking on condition of anonymity under military guidelines, gave no further details.-Fox News
What will President Barack Obama’s move be, now that he has won re-election? Obama has said that he is ‘good friend’ and supportive Israel, but to what extent? Does his support for U.S. ally in the Middle East extend to using military options, if Israel were to be attacked by Iran or any of their other enemies in the region?
Many seem to think that Obama will not ‘pull the trigger’ with Military support, in fear that he would fall out of favor with the Muslim world and many European supporters of the Muslim street.
