Texas’ State Attorney General Greg Abbott has threatened to arrest any United Nations election monitors who violate Texas Elections Law in the run up to the General Election on November 6th.
Confronted with a good ol’ Texan “line in the sand,” Abbott and Governor Rick Perry are warning that any outside interference within Texas’ sovereignty will not be tolerated. The United Nations has monitored elections throughout the world, but it’s typically been reserved for those countries where there is no semblance of electoral integrity because of regimes who routinely steal elections. Abbott is threatening to jail any of these observers who break state election laws.
Texas, like all other states, enforces a perimeter around election day polling locations, the distance that campaigners or poll watchers/observers have to keep away from the polls could range from 50-150 ft in most cases.

Governor Perry affirmed that “No UN Monitors/inspectors will be part of any TX election process.”
After it was initially reported that the UN was planning on monitoring U.S. elections, Senate candidate Congressman Connie Mack was among the first step up criticism of the United Nations by calling for its defunding and reminding us that its monitoring of elections is “a function usually reserved for third-world countries, banana republics and fledgling democracies.”-(Mack criticizes the UN)

The UN’s actions and intentions toward the United States have been nothing short of reprehensible.Every American should be outraged by this news. The United States must defund the United Nations. The United Nations should be kicked off of American soil once and for all. And the American people should demand that the United Nations be stopped from ‘monitoring’ American elections.
