by Javier ManjarresThe Miami Herald’s ‘crack’ political reporter Marc Caputo (pictured with yours truly), took some time off from staring at his Blackberry to report about how he receives a steady flow of correspondence and phone calls from Team Romney but absolutely nothing from President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.
Caputo says that the Romney campaign “is really making an effort to reach out to Independent voters, I don’t sense that, at least personally, from my perspective as much, from the Obama campaign.” (MSNBC)
Caputo’s writing and reporting has earned him quite the following across the state of Florida, but his ‘Creepy’ Caputo Cam has been at the center of several ‘paparazzi-like’ encounters with politicos who tried to avoid his questioning, ultimately making themselves look even more foolish.
A little advice for all politicos and their well-honed and ‘paranoid’ communications directors- don’t dodge Caputo’s questions if the Cam is out, because it won’t go well for you, trust me. 😉
Yes, Caputo was clearly intimidated by Triumph and ran for the hills, whereas I, El Sharko managed to plant three solid right hooks squarely on Triumph’s schnoz. (Video with the pooch)
The Shark Cam has also been fortunate enough to capture a couple of these ‘encounters’, but during the last presidential debate in Boca Raton, Mr. Caputo deftly avoided an on camera encounter with Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, leaving some to wonder if there’s more bark in the Caputo Cam than bite.
