By Javier ManjarresThe sky is falling! The sky is falling! Well, not really, but the news that the United Nations is proposing a number of global tax hikes that will primarily fund third-world corruption should hardly come as a surprise. The UN and many of its global leftist leaders continue to support increasing foreign aid from the United States, and we will certainly have it extracted from us should Barack Obama be re-elected.
The proposed taxes include a 1 percent tax on billionaires around the world; a tax on all currency trading in the U.S. dollar, the euro, the Japanese yen and the British pound sterling; another “tiny” tax on all financial transactions, including stock and bond trading as well as trading in financial derivatives; new taxes on carbon emissions and on airline tickets. But, it summarizes, “the time has come to confront the challenge.”-(Fox News)

As of January 2010, here is how much the U.S. wastes, I mean spends on U.N.-
