The Florida bus tour consisted of Congresswomen Illeana Ros-Lehtinen and Sandy Adams, as well as former Massachusetts Lt. Governor Kerry Healey, who served during Romney’s term as Governor in the state.
The bus tour made its first stop in Miami at a local business, All American Container, Inc. Approximately, 150 well-wishers attended, including Republican congressional candidate Karen Harrington, Florida State Legislator Jeanette Nunez, as well as many other prominent Miami politicos.

The bus tour then headed up to the official Fort Lauderdale Romney Victory office where the women held center court to another room filled with Republican women before addressing the assembled press on the bus.
Congresswoman Sandy Adams stated that “there is no war on women” and that women will once again play a pivotal vote in electing the next President of the United States. RNC Co-Chair Sharon Day fired up the crowd by stating the obvious, that one of the factors that will effectively define President Obama’s legacy is that “women that are now in poverty, are at a higher rate than ever in 17 years.”
We cannot afford four more years of Barack Obama, we cannot afford it, we will be a Greece, we will be a France…we cannot afford another four more years of a Barack Obama economy.- Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen
During the media gaggle with former Lt. Governor Healey, she was asked to discuss Romney care, and the parallels, if any, with Obamacare.
We did what was right for Massechusetts, and that we did not try to impose something broader on the entire country, and we did not raise taxes. –former Lt. Governor Karen Healey
When asked about the individual mandate being a key to Romneycare, Healey said –
“It’s a component but its not the key characteristic we are talking about, we are talking about a federal system versus a state-based system, and that’s what the people of this country care about, they don’t want to be told by the federal government what their healthcare system is going to look like, and they certainly don’t want to pay a trillion dollars in taxes for it, and they don’t want to have their Medicare cut.
