“And so Mitt Romney’s words are very nice. But the bottom line is that, his campaign just directed the Republican Party platform to include the most restrictive constitutional amendment that would say to women that you would have no opportunity to make your own reproductive choices under any circumstances even in the case of rape or incest.”- Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Source-Miami Herald)
If Congresswoman/DNC Chairwoman Wasserman Schultz thinks it’s above board to accuse Romney of being ‘anti-women’s rights,’ is it fair to label President Obama as the “anti-God” extremist?
The Democrat National Committee’s modified platform has now officially remove all references to God, including the removal of the phrase “God-given.” And unlike previous DNC platforms, the 2012 version does not state that “Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel“– which was included in the 2008 party platform that President Obama ratified.
Guess what? God’s name has been removed from the Democratic National Committee platform. This is the paragraph that was in the 2008 platform:
“We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values, and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential.”
Now the words “God-given” have been removed. The paragraph has been restructured to say this:
“We gather to reclaim the basic bargain that built the largest middle class and the most prosperous nation on Earth – the simple principle that in America, hard work should pay off, responsibility should be rewarded, and each one of us should be able to go as far as our talent and drive take us.” – (Source-CBN)
When President Obama takes the stage to reaffirm his position as the titular head of the his political party and ratifies its platform, will the President signal to the world that he is indeed the secular President he has always suspected of being by his detractors? And is this the final and definitive proof that President Obama’s not only has undeniably altered our historical relationship with Israel, but also that he privately loathes Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and our only true ally in the Middle East?
