The “new” Debbie is much more patient and reserved as a guest on political news shows- even during interviews where she is being called out, she’s making a concerted effort to keep her composure in-check.
Wasserman Schultz’s most recent fundraising letter to her supporters starts off by depicting her Republican congressional opponent Karen Harrington, GOP Presidential nominee Mitt Romney and Vice Presidential nominee Paul Ryan as “Extremist Republicans.”
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
But after the congresswoman finishes bashing Harrington & Co. with her usual over-the-top and vitriolic rhetoric, she has laid it on thick for the recipients of the letter-
Wasserman Schultz also added that there are tens of thousands of new voters in the congressional district she’s seeking re-election in, and that she needs their help to keep Harrington from reaching out to them first and calling her for whom she is- an extremist who continually engages in projection by labeling all of her political opponents as “extremists” themselves.I can promise you that no one will work harder than me to fight for the values we believe in: protecting our children, fighting for a better economy, and securing a better future for the middle class. I will reach out anyway I can to let people know where we stand.
So let’s take what Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz states on its face.
She talks about “protecting children,” but in reality she’s actually positioned herself as a direct threat to children in two major regards- her support of reckless deficit spending that will be paid for by future generations, and her extreme position on abortion.
As chairwoman of the Democrat National Commitee, her Democrat Party has adopted the most extreme plank ever in American politics with regards to abortion, and she’s not being held to account for it. Newt Gingrich laid it out for the country on last Sunday’s Meet the Press-
So it’s Debbie who is the real extremist when it comes to taxpayer subsidized abortions of the unborn, even in the eight and ninth month of pregnancy- a truly extreme position that even Debbie Wasserman Schultz will not dare to openly campaign on.The Democratic Party plank on abortion is the most extreme plank in the United States. The president of the United States voted three times to protect the right of doctors to kill babies who came out of an abortion still alive. That plank says tax-paid abortion at any moment, meaning partial-birth abortion. That’s a 20 percent issue. The vast majority of women do not believe that taxpayers should pay to abort a child in the eighth or ninth month. Now why isn’t it shocking that the Democrats on the social issue of abortion have taken the most extreme position in this country, and they couldn’t defend that position for a day if it was made clear and vivid, as vivid as all the effort is made to paint Republicans.
Given how often that Debbie Wasserman Schultz bandies about the word “extreme” to hammer her political opponents, it’s more than a bit ironic that it’s her own agenda which is the truly “extreme” one, and she will continue to do her best to shield it from the scrutiny it truly deserves throughout the remainder of the campaign.
