At one his monthly townhall meetings in Broward County, Congressman Allen West was asked about the ‘Muslim infiltration’ of the U.S. Government, an issue that has been in the news of late after Congresswoman Michele Bachmann questioned Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s aide Huma Abedin of her possible association with the Muslim Brotherhood.

Bachmann did not directly accuse Abedin of being part of the Muslim Brotherhood, but pointed out that she has immediate family members who are directly associated with the terrorist organization.

And in Abedin’s case, there are ample reasons for raising these questions. Her father, Syed Z. Abedin, was a professor in Saudi Arabia who founded the Institute for Muslim Minority Affairs, an organization supported by the Muslim World League, a Brotherhood organization. Her mother, Saleha Mahmoud Abedin, is a member of the Muslim Sisterhood, the Brotherhood’s adjunct organization for women. Congressman Allen West confirmed Bachmann’s suspicions of infiltration- actually, West has been saying it for a long time, and the Democrats have been quick to call him an extremist for doing so.
