There has been a lot of speculation as to who is going to Governor Mitt Romney’s ‘mega-donor’ retreat this coming weekend in Utah. Congressman Mack confirmed to the Shark Tank earlier today that he was invited and will be making the trip out to Utah on Friday.
The significance of this invitation is that Mack would be the only U.S. Senate ‘candidate in cycle’ invited to the retreat. It’s not surprising considering that Mack was one of Governor Romney’s earliest supporters and campaigned with him throughout Florida back in January.
Congressman Mack is now the clear frontrunner in his U.S. Senate Republican primary race to face Democrat Senator Bill Nelson after former U.S. Senator George LeMieux quit the race earlier this week.
