As expected, George LeMieux has bowed out of the Florida Senate race. LeMieux cited a lack of resources as the reason for quitting the race, but perhaps the upcoming Jim Greer trial and what could possibly be revealed could very another reason why LeMieux left the race. In addition to these two factors, there is the Charlie Crist factor.
LeMieux campaigned around the state ala Marco Rubio in 2010 but could not catch fire like Rubio did, and he was often hampered by his past association with the former Republican Governor of Florida.
We wish George the best of luck, and hope that he continues to serve his country in whatever capacity he sees fit. Thanks for running a spirited campaign George.
