President Barack Obama announced yesterday that his administration would no longer be enforcing yet another part of our already unenforced federal immigration law by halting the deportation of hundreds of thousands of young illegal immigrants under the age of 30- along with granting them work permits in an already terrible job market.Make no mistake, our Panderer-in Chief’s latest ploy to appeal to Hispanics should be seen for what it is- an act of political desperation that is clearly outside the bounds of the President’s legitimate powers.
Unable to run on his record and with his polling numbers in decline, he’s got nothing left to offer other than to nakedly pander for votes as he demonstrates his contempt for our country’s longstanding law-making process.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
At a Univision-televised town hall in 2011, President Obama told Jorge Ramos and those assembled that he didn’t have the power to unilaterally suspend deportations for anyone because he would be violating the separation of powers and breaking the law-

But that was then and this is now- in typical Obama fashion, he conveniently ignored his prior statements that clearly recognize the separation of powers and unilaterally accomplished exactly what he originally said was beyond the legitimate scope of his powers. With Obama, it’s all “just words”- it’s always been about subverting the principles that stand in the way of his ideology and its progressive goals- goals that undermine the fabric of our constitutional republic and breed lawlessness and undermine our economy.
Unless you are still drinking the kool-aid, it should be obvious that Obama never truly believed what he was saying to those in attendance at his Univision town hall about the separation of powers- intellectual honesty is not exactly Obama’s strong suit, to say the least.
If the right people are writing the history books in the future, Obama’s presidency will be credited for routinely circumventing Congress, expanding the proper authority of the Executive Branch and conveniently ignoring constitutional principles- all to the detriment of the American people. Time and again, the progressive goals that Obama can’t achieve legislatively are achieved either through back door regulations, executive orders, or in this case announcing that you simply won’t enforce the established law that’s on the books.
Obama’s decree is an insult to anyone who values and understands the importance of the rule of law. Rest assured, Hispanics, or anyone else for that matter do not want to live in a lawless Banana Republic that lives under the whims of a dictatorial executive, but that’s exactly what Obama and his administration are presiding over.
