Who said members of Congress don’t like to ‘ham it up’ for the camera?! Republican Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, who chairs the powerful U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee always finds time to greet me, your lovable correspondent, El Sharko,with the growingly famous, “Sharkie Shuffle”. There is no doubt that Ros-Lehtinen, like Senator Marco Rubio, and perhaps the rest of the world are huge fans of the Shark Tank political blog, and try to use every opportunity to make an appearance in the Tank 😉
Ros-Lehtinen, who has coined the little ‘Sharkie Shuffle’, is not afraid to hit the political dance floor with it. Late in 2010, while endorsing Florida Governor Rick Scott with fellow Congressman Mario and Lincoln Diaz-Balart, upon sighting the now infamous Shark Cam among during the press conference, Ros-Lehtinen felt the need to ‘shuffle it up’ a bit while Governor Scott was accepting the endorsement.
Needless to say, the shuffle made it on a few local TV stations, and made a few camera men quietly chuckle behind their respective lenses. Could Dancing with the Stars be next for Congresswoman Ros-Lehtinen? Stay tuned, I wouldn’t put it past her 😉
