deFaria has photoshopped a dog collar around Wasserman Schultz’s neck and gone on record several times stating that “we need to send her back to the pound.’ Because the deFaria for Congress campaign continues to push this “doggy” narrative, why is deFaria opting to avoid answering the question about his campaign’s actions? (Read the Doggy-gate post, and watch the video)
I am curious, I have seen the website, and I saw one of the materials that you did with Debbie Wasserman Schultz-you had fun with the ‘send her back to the pound’ analog and dog collar, and I am wonder, does that work counter productive do you think, in terms of trying to present the image that you can then go out and attract more moderate voters and even some Democratic voters…? Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
deFaria responded by reemphasizing his campaign talking points about his extensive business acumen and then challenged, “all” South Florida Republican incumbent members of Congress and candidates in “any race in South Florida” to compare to his business background to his. But while deFaria made some strong points in response to the question, he failed to answer the ‘Doggy-gate’ topic.
deFaria is trailing front-runner Karen Harrington and Joe Kaufman in fundraising at this point.
Here is the video from the debate where deFaria dodges the dog collar question
