Former Republican Presidential candidate Herman Cain was in Florida to give the keynote address at the Hernando County GOP’s Lincoln Day dinner. Before Cain addressed the crowd of 400, former U.S. Senator and current Republican candidate George LeMieux was also afforded the opportunity to address the Hernando Republican faithful.
During Cain’s address, the former Presidential candidate fully endorsed Senator George LeMieux’s candidacy in the U.S. Senate Republican primary race against Congressman Connie Mack. The Cain endorsement is significant considering that while Cain was campaigning across Florida during his presidential campaign, Cain was able to garner the support of the coveted grassroots/Tea Party base of the Republican party.
LeMieux has been lobbying hard for the grassroots support and has been able to make some significant in-roads with the group.

What will be interesting to find out is if LeMieux has subscribed to Cain’s 9-9-9 plan. Normally, candidates that Cain endorses have signed onto his tax plan.
