Could more high-profile Democrats be coming out in support of tax reform platforms like the Fair Tax? This past week in Washington,D.C., uber-liberal Democrat member of Congress, Hank Johnson,Jr., strutted up to the recent Fair Tax press conference held by Congressman Rob Woodall(R-GA), and gave his support for much needed tax reform.
Johnson stated that he was not there to endorse the Fair Tax, but that “we definitely need tax reform.”
I here to tell you that I am not afraid to listen, I think listening to each other is good, I think that if we don’t change our tax system soon, than it will continue to hurt prosperity to this nation…I am here to support efforts like this one”-Congressman Hank Johnson,Jr.(D-GA)

While the Fair Tax has always received support from Democrat members of Congress, it is unusual when Liberal Democrats like Johnson openly show support, especially when their leader, President Obama has been pushing for higher taxes.
