Congresswoman Sandy Adams and congressional candidate Karen Harrington have joined forces to help counter President Obama’s ‘War on Women’ by unveiling their “Women for Freedom” initiative. Women for Freedom is a joint finance campaign that as Congresswoman Adams puts it, is aimed to “raise money for both campaigns.” Harrington says that she hope the donations raised in this account will help their respective campaigns bring awareness to the truth about the phony ‘War on Women’ being drummed up by the Obama administration.
According to both campaigns, this account is set up as a simple joint finance account, not as a leadership PAC or any other type of political fundraising vehicle.
Harrington jabbed at the Obama administration when she stated that both she and Adams stood “united with women, whether they were stay at home mothers or out in the work place,” a jab at Hillary Rosen’s condescending remark towards Ann Romney for being a stay at home mother.

When asked about her views on Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Congresswoman Adams did not comment but did go after the Democratic Party as a whole for shaping the ‘War on Women’ narrative.
Adams added that this ‘War on Women’ was just a “smoke-screen” for President Obama’s “failed policies” as well as covering for the fact that Obama is “exacting policies by way of regulations.” Adams also believes that this “faux” war is a political stunt by the Obama administration to try to win back the women vote that it lost in 2010.
Over the past year, Democrats have disingenuously accused House Republicans of a “War on Women.”Republicans won the women’s vote in 2010, and Democrats are desperately manufacturing this war on women. They are doing everything they can do distract from their failed policies.Unemployment is exceedingly high, paychecks are shrinking, gas prices have doubled under the president’s watch, and our debt now exceeds the size of our entire economy.
In an effort to fight back and to bring light to the real argument at hand, Congresswoman Sandy Adams who is running in the newly redistricted Florida’s 7th District and candidate for Congress Karen Harrington is running in newly redistricted 23rd district,have created a Joint Fundraising Committee “Women for Freedom.”The first finance event for this joint venture is slated for May 11 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, followed by an event in the Orlando, Florida area, shortly there after.
As you know, Karen Harrington will be challenging the poster child for Democrats, Democrat National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz this November and Congresswoman Sandy Adams will be fighting off a challenge from 20 year incumbent and Chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Congressman John Mica.
