DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz had a little slip of the tongue while introducing President Barack Obama at his Coral Gables fundraiser on Thursday. Wasserman Schultz told the crowd about her travels over the past few months- according to her, she has traveled to 29 states and over 70 cities across the country campaigning on his behalf.
The Congresswoman’s detractors, mainly Republican Congressional candidate Karen Harrington, have released a “Where is Debbie?” campaign that depicts Wasserman Schultz as out-of-touch with her congressional constituents. (Harrington Release here)
Wasserman Schultz tried to catch herself when she stated that “we worked our heart/asses off” while campaigning. Wasserman Schultz meant to say ‘worked our hearts out,’ but at the same time the term ‘ass’ made its way out first. A pretty funny slip of the tongue- the room of Obama supporters thought so as well.
