The first debate in the 2012 election cycle between the Republican candidates looking to unseat Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz will be held on May 7th at the Cultural Community Center in Hallandale Beach. The debate will be jointly sponsored by the Southwest Broward Republican Organization (SWBRO), Davie-Cooper City Republican Club (DCC), and the Miami-Dade Republican Executive Committee (MDREC).
Current Republican congressional candidate Adam Hasner will deliver the opening address to the attendees. SWBRO President Jay Narang and DCC President Jeff Rubinoff along with MDREC Committeeman and current House Majority Leader Carlos Lopez-Cantera and Committewoman Liliana Ros have been finalizing the event’s planning and will be releasing invitations in the coming days.
