The Republican primary field that seeks to replace Congressman Connie Mack has expanded to eleven candidates, and Lee County Commissioner Tammy Hall is now in the mix. At the recent NRCC retreat in Naples, Hall took the time to give us a brief overview of why she is running for Congress.Hall tells us that she entered the race because she didn’t see a proven conservative in the current field of candidates. Hall believes that the only way the illegal immigration issue can only be solved is to secure the our borders first- only then can the illegal immigration issue be resolved.
When asked about the looming energy crunch and rising gas prices, Hall did not take a position on whether or not oil drilling should be allowed in ANWR, saying that she “doesn’t have a position on ANWR.”
