Hasner has recently dropped out of the U.S. Senate race and into Congressman Allen West’s soon to be vacant seat. Since he declared his intention to run for Congress, Hasner has been endorsed by West and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.
As to why he is thinking about running for Congress, LaMarca stated that “its worth a look” at running and that “no one has a distinct advantage” in the race. LaMarca is of course referring to Hasner, as he is the only other declared Republican candidate in the race. LaMarca also said that he would run a “respectful” campaign and that a final decision as to whether or not he will run “one way or another” will be made next weekend.
